Recognized as the “Top Trainer” in the School of Skill Matrix—a strategic capability development program aimed at enhancing shopfloor competencies across BATB’s Dhaka and Savar factories.

Leading Primary Manufacturing Department in Business KPIs

Champion in “WE RACE AS ONE” 2023

WE RACE AS ONE was an internal contest among the Operations departments at BATB, designed to drive excellence in achieving business targets during the high-volume period of the first half of the year. In 2023, as the Lead of the Primary Manufacturing Department, I successfully motivated both the shopfloor workforce and the management team, ultimately securing the championship title and reinforcing a culture of performance, unity, and shared success.

Leading Primary Manufacturing Department in IWS Phase 2

In 2023, BATB marked a historic milestone by achieving Phase 2 accreditation in the Integrated Work System (IWS). I played a pivotal leadership role in this journey, representing the Primary Manufacturing Department across four key pillars: Quality, Loss Elimination, Organization, and Autonomous Maintenance.

Tobacco Wastage Miracle

In 2023, my strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts played a pivotal role in enabling BAT Bangladesh to be recognized as a Group 1 factory among all end markets within the BAT group. Building on this achievement, the Dhaka factory recorded the lowest tobacco wastage across all end markets in Q1 2024.

To foster global best practices and cross-market learning, I conducted multiple knowledge-sharing sessions with cross-functional teams and senior managers from several BAT end markets, where I presented Bangladesh’s proven methodologies for minimizing tobacco wastage. These international engagements included:

  1. BAT Kenya
  2. BAT Nigeria
  3. BAT Srilanka
  4. BAT Polland
  5. BAT Turkey

Promotion

Shift Manager, Savar Factory

Aug 2024-Apr 2025

After my promotion to Shift Manager, I took on the responsibility of leading over 150 shopfloor employees in a single shift at BAT Bangladesh’s newly established Savar factory.

This role allowed me to drive operational excellence in a dynamic and rapidly evolving manufacturing environment.

I led IWS trainings focused on autonomous maintenance for the equipment owners of multiple low speed machines which contributed to >3% increase in OEE through cultural improvement for operational excellence.

5-Year Career Milestone at BAT Bangladesh

On July 15, 2024, I completed five years of service at British American Tobacco Bangladesh. This milestone marks a period of continuous professional growth, cross-functional collaboration, and impactful contributions across manufacturing operations and quality assurance. Grateful for the journey, the challenges that shaped me, and the opportunities to drive meaningful change.
